Jian An
Jian An, a seasoned director and scriptwriter from mainland China, was born on March 9, 1965. He directed his first TV drama, "走過柳源 (Walking Through Liu Yuan)," in 1998, setting off his colorful directing career. The drama also won the First Class Long Television Drama Award at the 19th China TV Golden Eagle Award. His 2006 anti-corruption drama "天地糧人(Heaven, Earth, and Man)," garnered the Third Class Long Television Series Award at the 25th China TV Golden Eagle Award. In 2009, his successful period drama "北風那個吹 (The North Wind Blows)" won the Second Class Long TV Drama Award at the 27th China TV Golden Eagle Award. In 2011, another one of his period dramas, "家常菜 (Home Cooking)," won the Second Class TV Drama Award at the 28th China TV Golden Eagle Award.
